SEWA DAY – NEWCASTLE BALAGOKULAM
On the morning of Sunday, 4th November, Newcastle Balgokulam came together for a Sewa Project dedicated to cleaning and organising the Newcastle Hindu Temple.
With great enthusiasm, children, parents, and volunteers took on various tasks such as cleaning, re-organising temple rooms, and ensuring the premises were spotless and welcoming. The spirit of selfless service (Sewa) was evident, as each participant put in dedicated effort, working with energy, passion, and teamwork.
The impact of their efforts was immediately recognised—the Temple Committee members were pleasantly surprised and deeply appreciative of how much work had been accomplished in such a short time. They expressed their gratitude towards the Balgokulam family for their contribution to the upkeep of this important community space.
This initiative not only strengthened the bond between Balgokulam and the temple community but also instilled a sense of responsibility and pride in the younger generation. The success of this Sewa project has further motivated everyone to continue serving and supporting their local community.
A special thanks to all the children, parents, and volunteers who participated in making this Sewa Day a meaningful and fulfilling experience.
