May 2019 – Despite relentless rain and fierce winds, over 475 determined participants took on the challenge of the annual Yorkshire 3 Peaks event on 26 May. The harsh weather conditions tested the resilience of the teams, but their dedication to the cause of Charity Through Adventure remained unwavering.

Rather than staying sheltered with a warm cup of chai and delicious puris, the participants embraced the challenge head-on, demonstrating immense perseverance and team spirit. Under the leadership of Satishji and his dedicated team, the event was executed to the highest standards, ensuring that safety and camaraderie remained at the heart of the adventure.

One of the participants, Shri Sharadji Shah from Birmingham, shared his exhilarating experience: “I just managed one peak, and halfway to the next, we were advised to abandon our efforts due to the extreme weather. However, it was absolutely enjoyable—harsh winds, rain lashing against our faces, drenched to the skin, and climbing rocks on all fours—it was brilliant!”

This event is not just a test of endurance; it is an opportunity to push personal limits, bond with like-minded individuals, and most importantly, contribute to a noble cause. The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge continues to inspire participants each year, proving that determination and a sense of purpose can triumph over even the most unforgiving conditions.
